The Special Part of the Criminal Code of Mongolia
establishes a legal framework for monetary compensation for
victims of certain crimes, based on the classification of
psychological harm suffered and the principle of partial fault.
This framework aims to protect the rights and legitimate
interests of children, ensuring proportionate compensation for
psychological harm. However, the lack of clear standards for
assessing psychological harm and the ambiguous manages of responsible authorities impede the effective protection of child
victims psychological well being and legal status. This article
examines the current regulatory framework and highlights its
primary challenges.
